There are two Ivotals, the 25mm and the 50mm, both f1.4 and both in C-mount for 16mm movie cameras. I saw a pic taken with the 25mm several years ago and fell in love, since it had that sharp and defined “ni-sen” bokeh that I find very compelling. The 50mm seems to have a different, smoother character, but the 25mm has got “the look”. The lens is extremely sharp and very contrasty, one of the best I have ever found, the lens is double gauss, and it has a bokeh that is similar to but surpasses the famous Dallmeyer Super Six in character (in my opinion) and is considerably sharper and more contrasty than my 1 inch Super Six. But there is a downside, which is a very limited image circle, which may not even cover MFT (but is certainly close), The DSS, by contrast, covers crop frame. However despite that, I have begun to carry this lens around and am very happy with the results.
