P. Angenieux TV-1 120mm f1.2 projection lens

This lens was designed to be used with a very early Philips TV system, so it was made for video projection, not film projection, necessitating a very high level of light transmission. However it is also clear that it was not designed to be particularly sharp, since TV resolution was, at the time, very low. The lens has enormous blooming and low contrast when sharply focused. Like many old projection lenses, the point of sharpest focus and the point of highest contrast are not the same. Nevertheless, it has interesting rendering, and will probably make an excellent portrait lens. Here are a few first examples.
