This nifty little lens was designed for Canon’s interchangeable lens Hi8 camcorder. Given the size of the Hi8 sensor, I expected that the image circle would be extremely small, but in fact it easily covers the APS-C frame and almost covers full frame. It is quite sharp in the center, but everything changes outside its intended frame. Not tremendously easy to adapt, but it can be done, with infinity focusing, on mirrorless camera. Here are a few initial tries.
