Here is a rare lens made for the high speed Faxtax 16mm military camera. It is hard to find any documentation on this lens. I managed to find two of them, one from NASA and the other sold when the San Onofre nuclear plant in California was shut down. The lens is radioactive, as were many from that era, using at least one thoriated element. The lens is quite advanced for the time, with a relatively wide focal range and a maximum aperture of f2.3. Unfortunately the image circle is quite small, never really exceeding the MFT frame. Still is is quite sharp and a very decent optical instrument. Here are a few test shots.
